Our Commitment to Learning

We believe in being life-long learners. This goes for all aspects of life but rings true especially for those of us in the farrier trade. There are always opportunities to improve, grow and learn from others. We want to demonstrate this commitment to learning by regularly pursuing continuing education through different organizations and opportunities.

Some words from our happy clients

Billy and Lacy are able to apply their excellent skill at hoof care to domestic and non-

domestic species, these farriers understand anatomy and species-specific

considerations involved with optimizing hoof health, providing professional and thorough

care to one of the most important aspects of ungulate health

Dr. Garret Fröess, DVM, Dipl. ACZM

Lacy and Billy are world class farriers. From routine trims to fixing serious problems, I

always go into procedures with them knowing that I can trust their skill and expertise to

get the job done. Their experience working with a wide range of exotic hoofstock means

they know how to keep staff and animals safe. I can't recommend them enough!

Dr. Rachel Turner, DVM, Dipl, ACZM

Working with Billy and Lacy for numerous years, their knowledge and expertise of

exotic animal hoofstock hoof care is unsurpassed. With numerous years of zoo

experience, a facility can be comfortable bringing them in to work on their collection

Dr. Michael Q. Lowder DVM, AVDC Equine, Certified Zoo & Wildlife Dentistry

I have had excellent experiences working with Lacy on a wide range of hoof cases. I have seen her take care of everything from a routine slender-horned gazelle trim to a Grevy’s zebra hoof disease case with expertise. Not only does Lacy do excellent farrier work on all her cases, but she takes the time to teach other animal management professionals about hoof care and management. She is clearly passionate about what she does and enjoys sharing her gifts with others which makes Lacy an incredible asset to any animal care team. I have truly enjoyed working with Lacy and have learned so much from her, I highly recommend contacting Wild Hoof for assistance on any ungulate case. I definitely look forward to continuing to work with Lacy in the future!
